"A pleasure to work with! The vision was executed smoothly and on budget. I couldn't ask for any better!"

- Christer Harris, Producer of Further Fields Inc.

The MIT Media Lab is a research laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, growing out of MIT's Architecture Machine Group in the School of Architecture. The Reality Editor is a web browser for the physical world: Point your phone or tablet at a physical object and an interface pops up with information about that object along with services related to it.

Produced and DOP by Christer Harris of Further Fields Inc. This was a great opportunity to work on a long-form commercial project that had a documentary feel. Finding unique ways to showcase an unreleased technology and simplify its complicated aspects for a mass audience to understand was a fun troubleshooting experience. On this project, work from our team included the following:

  • Creative Development

  • Editing

  • Directing

  • Sound Design / Mixing

For over 30 years, MIT Media Lab researchers have anticipated and created technologies to make our lives more productive. The Reality Editor app and its video has been featured in articles on Wired, Metrology News, Postscapes and many other US publications.
